About

Our Story

Solid Rock Day Camp was founded in 1977 with only twenty-five campers and a few volunteers. The volunteers began the camp with the intention of having fun with a purpose. Their desire was to share the good news of Jesus Christ while having fun. After almost 50 years, the mindset of Solid Rock has remained the same as it continues to grow! The program now welcomes over 250 campers a week!

Our Mission

Solid Rock Day Camp exists to introduce people to the hope of Christ and truth of God’s word, and to strengthen believers in their faith for the ultimate glory of God.

Our CORE VALUES

SAFETY

We go above and beyond industry standards to keep camp a safe environment for all campers, staff, and parents. Staff to camper ratios, staff hiring practices, background checks, training, abuse prevention, medical care, and facility updates are all constantly evaluated to meet the highest standard of care.

FUN

Adventure awaits! Everything we do at camp is designed to create positive memories that will last a lifetime. Our creativity in programming, time spent outdoors, and unique hands-on experiences are all a part of what makes our program exceptional! With such a variety of activities there is something for every camper to enjoy.

RELATIONSHIPS

Our staff is very intentional to build relationships with campers and families. We care deeply about every camper because we believe God cares deeply about every camper. We train our staff to sacrificially love each other and their campers so that every camper feels seen, heard, and a part of our camp community.

THE GOSPEL

BEST NEWS EVER! God created us for his glory. Nevertheless, we have all sinned and fallen short of God’s glory. Therefore, we all deserve eternal punishment. Yet, in his great mercy, God sent his only Son Jesus Christ into the world to provide for sinners the way of eternal life. Therefore, eternal life is a free gift to all who will trust in Christ as Lord and Savior.
